Developing for the iOS platform requires the use of a Mac desktop computer and after acquiring one a few years ago, I must say I like the solid beauty and simplicity of it. It's been a fun learning experience and I am slowly accumulating a list of utilities and tricks for my personal productivity tastes. It's interesting to note that Macs can run virtual machines with Windows but not the other way around. I have built some cross-platform apps and appreciate Apple's Development Guidelines--if more people built software with these ideas in mind, there'd be a lot less confusion and need for tech support.
