Good judgement comes from experience;
experience comes from bad judgement.
We've seen and made our share of goofs and missteps but we try to turn each of these into learning opportunities, taking notes and establishing guidelines for making things better next time. A few years of this and the young person might think they've arrived at the pinnacle of knowledge.
We know better.
There's always new ways that things can go wrong--and it's bound to happen at the least opportune time. By logging everything we do, building in error-trapping routines, and cleaning inputs before they hit the database, what comes out is more likely to repeatedly match what the customer wants. We also never release a product until it passes all our tests.
Experience has taught us to never stop learning.
