About Cornelius Concepts

Cornelius Concepts was founded in 1990 by David Cornelius to build custom software solutions for small businesses. He works individually with each customer to understand their business needs and solve whatever problems they perceive. His long career as a programmer in a wide variety of environments gives him the breadth of experience to design software from the ground up, integrate data from various sources, or upgrade an older system to work with new technologies. His expertise is in building user-friendly applications that get used a lot in high-productivity work environments.

Most of his work is with Delphi, the Object Pascal language from Embarcadero Technologies. He has used all versions of Delphi since its precursor, Turbo Pascal. He also has experience in C, C++, C#, Visual Basic, PHP, and Perl.

His experience with databases is as long and varied as his programming career and includes both proprietary and open source products including Firebird, ElevateDB, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and Oracle. He's comfortable building either local embedded databases or multi-user ones with replication and remote access.

David Cornelius has been helping people with their computers since 1985 with consulting, programming, training, and technical support. He has been an active member of community organizations, serving as coordinator of the Oregon Delphi User Group for 10 years and a member in various capacities of the Oregon Computer Consultants Association for 15 years. He has given numerous technical presentations and constantly stays involved with many areas of software development, and internet technologies.
